Benchmarks for m5.large (AWS)

Individual CPU benchmark results for the AWS EC2 instance type m5.large. The table displays the single-threaded CPU speed as reported by the Passmark benchmark tool, as well as the on-demand, spot pricing, and spot interruption percentage.

See the benchmarks for all EC2 instances.

✅ This instance type is available for self-hosted GitHub Actions runners using RunsOn.

EC2 Instance family: m5

CPU Type: 1st or 2nd generation Intel Xeon Platinum 8000 series processor (Skylake-SP or Cascade Lake), clocked at up to 3.1 GHz.

Specific Features: General Purpose instance family, offering a balance of compute, memory, and network resources. It supports the Intel Advanced Vector Extensions 512 (AVX-512) instruction set and is built on the AWS Nitro System. It provides up to 25 Gbps network bandwidth using Enhanced Networking.

Date of Release: 2017.
